Boho Bride Photo Shoot - October 2021

What do I love more than wedding florals you ask?

Photo shoot days!

Good morning October and it’s a bright and very breezy one at that!

I was so excited to be asked to design and create florals for a ‘Boho Bride’ photoshoot and work with @paulnelsonphotos and @jodieelleanormakeup, both are insanely good at what they do and it’s always a pleasure to work alongside likeminded creatives. The beautiful @charmagne_chowmein modelled for us and certainly bought her A game to the session.

The idyllic Oxfordshire countryside of Wainhill, @wainhillvintagecaravans, overlooking stunning wild meadows and woodlands of the Chilterns as our backdrop provided us with a stunning location.

A beautiful Chic Vintage Silver Streak Clipper named Monty (one of the fleet of American Airstreamers) owned by the loveliest of couples, Katrina and Charlie, was also used as part of the shoot.

For this shoot I created an all-out boho look of florals …Pampas grass was the main focus attached to a wooden triangle installation. Added dried elements of Ruscus, Mountain Fern, Triticum, Red Plume and apricot Aveena… As It’s Autumn, I incorporated some orangey tones of preserved beech and Echinacea purpurea seeds to add colour and interest. The oversized bouquet complimented the make-up and hair style of Charmaine.

NOTE TO ONESELF – PAMPAS GRASS AND WINDY WEATHER DO NOT GO TOGETHER!
