Jade & Jason - 27th August 2021

This was a very special wedding as being the mother of the bride I really had to go ‘full on floral’ for this one.

There was no theme as such, but because of the time factor on the day and dressing the copper installation I created, I chose to use a mixture of faux, dried and fresh flowers.

Large installations are very time consuming so I created this beforehand and just added the fresh elements on the day.

The Crazy Bear is such an incredible venue to dress, from the dramatic interiors of the glasshouse, the gold of the Moroccan lounge to the whimsical woodland area, I could really push the boundaries and pick out different elements to play with.

The ceremony started in the woodland area. Pew ends of gold circles with mini fern and sangasorbia. Fresh rose petals scattering the red carpet leading to the copper installation with full length macrame backdrop, with florals adorning the top of the frame. A mixture of twigs, pampas grass, faux and fresh flowers in oversized glass vases dressed the sides of the instal.

The florals for the wedding breakfast had to compliment the interior of the glasshouse. A mixture of gold tall stands and low gold vases full of the most luscious creamy, fragrant O’Hara roses, quicksand and majolica spray roses. Pops of golden mustard roses, hot biscuit Amaranthus highlighted the gold tones of the room and elements of red sangasorbia complemented the bridesmaid dresses.

In Jade’s bouquet I used all of these elements with the added frilliness of Westminster Abbey Garden roses – these were extra special and added that ‘wow’ factor. Tied with gold silk velvet ribbons to match the golden mustard and hot biscuit Amaranthus.

It truly was a magical day…..
