Sophie & Sebastian - 1st May 2021

It’s the 1st May and the sun is shining, albeit a tad cold BUT I have an actual wedding!

I have really been looking forward to this one as it’s my first large floral activity since the first lockdown all those months ago..

Covid restrictions allow 15 people only at a wedding but Sophie and Sebastian made the brave decision to continue with their special day, so here I am at this quaint little church in the lovely village of Shabbington working my floral magic.

Sophies vision of the wedding was relaxed loose arrangements using a colour palette to match the soft blush pink bridesmaid dresses. Eco friendly as much as possible and the installation outside the church was to create a ‘WOW’ factor and this it certainly did…

A range of structural and delicate flowers including spirea formed the basis of Sophie’s and the bridesmaids bouquets. Gorgeous colour palette of soft pink and white garden roses, lilac lathyrus, with a pop of burgundy scabious. The natural relaxed meadow-like feel with fragrant matthiola and mentha made the scent unreal.

The installation adorning the church entrance had the same feel…made from sustainable mechanics covered with large foliage of birch, ruscus, eucylyptus and berried ivy with a variety of the flowers making that all important impact for the guest arrival.

The theme carried inside the church with large pedestals and a large arrangement placed on the ledge at the end of the aisle, these were then reused for the reception.

This was one to truly remember.
